Message From MD September – 2021

Dear friends,

In August, Keralites celebrated Onam and India’s 75th Independence Day. August is famous for happy occasions and festivities across various spectrums of life. At Asset Homes, we also participated in many such events in the Projects, Delight, Sales and Marketing departments.

I was delighted to participate in activities such as Salaam Dubai, Friendship Day Insta reel contest, campaign to promote the Handloom sector in association with Weavers of Kerala, Sample Flat inauguration at Asset Alpine Oaks and Asset Galleria, Koodumattom Season 2, Independence Day Celebration, Onam Celebration and the inauguration of two completed projects, Asset Hillcrest Volga, Thiruvananthapuram and Asset Corridor, Ernakulam. I am sure that these customer-centric activities will bring more business and value to the brand. Today, I am also happy to lay the foundation stone of our 87th project, Asset Alpine Maple at Kakkanad.

India celebrates the 5th of September as Teacher’s Day. It is one of the finest memories of my school days. No one will dispute this. Surprising our teachers with the decorations, plays, essays and speeches during the event has left an indelible mark in the memory. Over time, teachers day and teaching itself has changed a lot, and for me, everyone we meet should be respected as a Guru, as we always find something to learn from each and everyone we meet.

Some people will test you, use you, and bring out the best in you. Everyone will teach you something about yourself. Both positive and negative relationships teach you valuable lessons. The road to self-discovery requires help from others. We seek feedback and approval from others. No relationship is a waste of time. The wrong ones teach you the lessons that prepare you for the right ones. Appreciate everyone that enters your life because they are contributing to your personal development and growth.

Other than this casual day to day learning, we should practice formal continuing education. Continuing education generally refers to any learning during a job or courses that employees pursue after formal education. This can vary from seminars or one-time classes to online courses and entire degree programs.

Our profession requires continuing education in a variety of ways. Some of these requirements come in the form of yearly classes or tests to keep you up on changes in our industry. Successful businessmen and women, from Warren Buffett to Oprah, are huge advocates of continuing education. Barack Obama has often spoken about reading for at least an hour daily during his time in the White House.

Management often finds your pursuit of continuing education a great reason to give you a promotion, raise in salary or recognition, and increase your ability to make a career transition. If you’re planning to move to a new career field, the first step will often be to gain an education that qualifies you for that new job. Your image and marketability will be improved, as additional qualification is a valuable element to your résumé.

I hope we all think continuing education is a good strategy. So what’s the next step? Discuss the courses or seminars suitable for you with your superiors. Check if something similar is right for you. So please don’t miss a single chance to learn. Make it a practice to learn at least one new thing every day so that you gain 365 new things in a year!

Dear all, please Learn, Unlearn & Relearn, the mantra of modern times, as what got you here won’t get you there. So now is the time to get started on a new journey that will change your life. I wish you all successful learning days ahead.

Warm Regards
