Message From MD June – 2022
02 June 2022
Dear friends,
The second month of FY 22 was memorable with high performance on all fronts. Therefore, I would like to congratulate all performers of May and wish everyone a jubilant June with remarkable achievements.
We started our 100 days to 100th project campaign with innovative activities every day. It created great enthusiasm and vibrancy among all of us. This should continue till august 17th (Chingam 1), when we plan to announce our 100th project. In June, we will witness thirty such activities, including the inauguration of our 69th project Asset Rangoli at Maradu, Ernakulam.
Change is inevitable and is synonymous with career and growth. The vocation we excel in today is the result of our acceptance of the change. We believe that if we want to survive, we need to accept the change. That’s why we did not resist it. Resistance could have caused pain. Considering the growing demand for performance at branch levels, it has been decided to change the pattern of daily meetings to branch wise model. Henceforth it shall be a day in a week dedicated to a branch, touching all business aspects. This will help branches to forecast the week and analyse it weekly.
Human beings are creatures of habit. Everyone among us is comfortable in familiarity – to see, hear, feel, do, and even think. It is like driving on a known route – a route where the humps, twists, turns, ups, downs, speed limits, one-ways and traffic are all we know and are familiar with. We like them because we know what to expect and how to handle it. But unfortunately, it is too defined and transparent, and we believe that the known devil is better than the unknown angel!
The things that we are so familiar with are often not so good at all. Yet, we cling to them. The fear of the unknown makes us stay in our comfort zone. In our professional life, even when we know that our environment is not conducive to our well-being, success and achievements of goals, we stay there, hoping for a change, hoping things will get better, hoping that the management will make a difference very soon. Little do we comprehend that every team member has the power to change, to make a change.
Our instincts always tell us to do: Stay safe! “But remember, Diamond is a piece of charcoal that handled stress exceptionally well.” Change is never easy. Change is painful. Change entails stepping out of our comfort zone. It means doing things in a way different than we were used to. If we do not do that, we will remain in the uncomfortable situation we are so used to forever, things will stay as it is, and we will remain uncomfortable always. However, if you find the courage and fortitude to step out of that unpleasant familiarity, things will change for the better. Change is a part of Growth. Resisting change in a career is equivalent to stop growing.
Change is a part of a career, as necessary and inevitable as breathing. The way we react to changes around us, the attitude we take to deal with them, and our actions and reactions to change all feed us coping, accepting and growing with change. We, Assetians, are blessed with immense resilience, and it is up to each and every one of us to find that within ourselves to bring about a positive attitude shift towards change in our thoughts, words, actions and achievements.
I wish you all a magical month of monsoon-June.
Warm Regards
